City of Lakewood 2024 Asphalt Sealant Program

Roadway Closure Notification

ALC Property Maintenance has been contracted by The City of Lakewood to perform asphalt sealcoat services on your street.

Work locations include phased sections of roadway to be seal coated. All vehicles will need to be removed from the street and driveways by 7:00 a.m. on the specified workday, to allow the contractors access to the area. “NO PARKING” signs will be placed on your street 24 hours prior to work beginning.  The sealcoat will need 24 hours of cure time prior to opening for foot traffic or vehicle traffic. This will require the specified section of roadway to be closed for parking from 7:00 AM on the specified workday to 7:00 AM the following day, so please make arrangements to park any vehicles you need outside the work area.

The work is being scheduled in phases to minimize the inconvenience. Below you will find a link to a google earth map with a search bar in which you can type in your address and see the date your street is scheduled to be closed.  In the event that weather or other delays occur, we will reschedule the work at a later date and changes will be reflected on the maps with the letters “RS” (rescheduled) after the date.

Please have all irrigation systems turned off the night prior to work being performed on your street until the morning following the sealcoat application.

We hope to limit the inconvenience for you and appreciate your patience as we maintain the street near your address.  If you have any questions or concerns or need immediate assistance, please contact Danny Mendoza at 720-224-0239. We will have a golf cart available to taxi you to and from your home and vehicle if needed.

Pavement sealer will replenish the binder in the asphalt road that is lost over time through oxidation.  This will extend the life of the road and delay future repairs and replacement. Asphalt sealing will also beautify your pavement, as well as continue to repel moisture, oil, and other contaminants harmful to asphalt. The City of Lakewood has tested and specified the use of PMM (Polymer Modified Masterseal). PMM is a high-performance sealcoat blended with polymers and special surfactants designed for sealcoating, protecting and beautifying all types of asphalt. PMM will provide a rubberized surface with added flexibility and adhesion.
